Audi Treats Customers to Piloted Driving Experience on the Autobahn

Last month, we told you about Audi having the honor of being the first automaker to demonstrate automated vehicles in New York State. Well, it turns out the company is currently taking things to a whole new level in Germany. In July, Audi began a six-week program of transporting selected customers on a piloted driving experience on the A9 autobahn north of Munich.

The First Automated Vehicle in New York State? An Audi, of Course.

Last month, Audi became the first automaker to demonstrate an automated vehicle in New York state, demonstrating the company's Audi Highway Pilot technology at the statehouse in Albany for a group of legislators, their staffers and assembled media.

Audi has the honor of being the first company to receive a license to test automated vehicles in the state after Governor Andrew Cuomo had announced that the state was taking applications from companies interested in testing or demonstrating autonomous vehicles on the state's public roads.

Audi Earns Sales Increase in June

Not many companies can claim 78 straight months of record sales, but Audi of America recently recorded that when June's sales results were announced. By selling 19,416 vehicles during the month, the company gained a 5.3 percent increase over June 2016 results, with the all-new Q5 and A5 Sportback helping drive the month's performance.

For the first half of the year, Audi has sold 102,971 vehicles -- more than the company sold in any full year prior to 2010 -- marking a 6.2 percent improvement over the first six months of 2016.

Audi Realizes May Sales Increase

May of 2017 marked the 77th consecutive month of record sales for Audi of America, and also delivered the company's fifth-best sales month in its U.S. history! Audi Continues to Set Sales Records with Strong April Performance

Audi of America set yet another monthly sales record, the company's 76th straight monthly record, as April results show that the company sold 18,711 vehicles for an increase of 5.1 percent. Through the first four months of the year, Audi has seen sales improve 7.7 percent on total sales of 59,761 vehicles.

Customer demand was strong throughout the entire Audi roster, with the Q5 and Q7 SUVs joining the A4 and A5 sedans to lead the pack.

Audi Sets New March Sales Record

Recently, Audi of America reported that sales in March 2017 gained 2 percent over last March's results, on sales of 18,705 vehicles. This result continues the company's streak of 75 consecutive months of record sales, and means that for the first three months of this year, Audi sales have risen 9 percent on sales of 45,647 vehicles.
