2018 Audi allroad® Review

The station wagon is likely one of the most underrated vehicle styles today, as larger crossovers have flooded the market in the past few years. The well-kept secret is that the wagon is undoubtedly still relevant-and Audi has just released a fabulous 2018 model of their allroad® wagon to prove it. Our review of the 2018 Audi allroad® will let you in on the secret of this wagon.

Inside, you'll find the modern and luxurious interior that you'd expect from the allroad®'s little sibling, the A4 sedan, but you'll have added cargo capacity, versatility, and a ride height that allows the allroad® to take you on…well, all roads. Or no roads, as the case may be, because you can easily take this vehicle off-roading. How's that for a fun-to-drive luxury car?

This 2018 Audi allroad® review from the team at Ira Audi of Peabody will give you an in-depth look at what this wagon has to offer, so you can decide if it would be a good fit for your lifestyle.

Audi allroad® Performance

The A4 allroad® wagon comes standard with a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine with 252 horsepower. Audi's quattro® all-wheel drive system is a standard feature, and it comes with Ultra® technology that can automatically switch from front-wheel drive to all-wheel drive in milliseconds-so you can conserve fuel during easy driving on the streets of Peabody, Danvers, and Beverly, but maintain excellent road grip and control when you need it in a snowstorm or off the pavement.

Off-Road Capability: Audi A4 allroad®

For enhanced off-road performance, you'll get the standard allroad® adaptive damping suspension, which measures the movement of all four wheels, offering enhanced handling and comfort. Additionally, you can add Audi drive select, which allows you to choose from a number of drive modes to find the one best suited to the terrain: Offroad, Comfort, Auto, Dynamic, and Individual. The Offroad setting allows the car to sense the terrain, and adapt the engine and transmission control, steering, and adaptive damping suspension to best suit the situation.

Audi allroad® Interior

Despite the fact that the allroad® can be so tough when rolling over rocky terrain, the interior offers the luxury and comfort that you'd expect from an Audi. Inside, you'll five seating for five with leather-upholstered, heated, 8-way power adjustable front seats, tri-zone automatic climate control, and a driver information display in the gage cluster. The MMI® infotainment system comes standard, offering a 7-inch screen, Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™, Bluetooth®, and two USB ports.

You'll also get other standard features, such as automatic wipers, heated side mirrors, a rearview camera, a power liftgate, and roof rails for strapping on cargo for your weekend adventure. Speaking of which, there's also 24.2 cubic feet of cargo capacity behind the back seats, or you can fold the rear row forward to access a total of 58.5 cubic feet of space, so you can bring along all your camping gear, sports equipment, or luggage on your trip-you can't do that with a sedan.
